I have this same problem both with Trainer Road and Garmin Edge 520. Elite's e-training app works fine so I was thinking does the e-training app calculate speed from the power since it knows trainers power curve?

Sorry for late response, but the culprit was the sensor placement. It was one 1cm off and had to flip it 180 degrees in order to get it work. After that, it has been working without a glitch.

I have Misuro b+ sensor in mode 5 with Qubo Power Fluid trainer, but there's no speed data for Trainer Road? With myEtraining app there's speed data, but that's probably calculated from cadence and power?
