Am I correct in saying there is a belt inside the muin which you can adjust the tension which will in turn affect the resistance of the trainer?
Could anyone link me to the manual of the trainer so I could have a look please

No, it's not correct.
The resistance depends on the oil inside the trainer.
And it's not possible to change the resistance of the trainer by adding/removing oil as this will affect the precision of the trainer and its functionality
Some Turbo Muin users complain about the resistance of the trainer saying it's too hard.
But this is because they compare the behavior of this kind of trainer (with fluid technology) to a standard simulator.
The Turbo Muin needs a different approach, please look at this document that explains well this point:
