SUITO T Inserts

I purchased a new 10 Speed cassette to put on my turbo trainer, however not sure if I am installing this correctly.

I have an Elite Suito T trainer - and there is a gap between the cassette and freehub - is this correct? The adapter for resting the bike frame on does not stick out that far at all.

Elite have said that I need to fit adapter before inserting the adapter for quick-release.

What is the adapter in the pic and where can I get one?
