"The current competitor selected is not linked to an Axiom Device"

I have an older Real Axiom Wired device (at least 10 years old, Real Axiom 4 according to my old software) and I haven't used it in many years.
But when I downloaded the latest software and start it up I get an error message saying "The current competitor selected is not linked to an Axiom Device". I managed to find a really old version of the software (ver 3.0.0.43) and that works.

I'm running windows 10.
