Erg mode not working.

Have had my trainer since February 2018. Used it briefly for a few months and start using it again a few weeks ago.
Last week when I was using TrainerRoad and erg mode it would not give any resistance. I tried unplugging the unit and plugging it back in. I do not hear any sound coming from the motor as it typically does. I can still use the trainer but have to change gears manually. I did send an email into Elite but have not received a reply any help would be appreciated
