Low power reading after spin down calibration

Hi
Bought my first smart trainer, a Suito a few weeks ago and did a spin down calibration for the first time this week.
The trainer prior to the calibration was reading around 5% higher than my crank power meter.
After the spin down, the trainer is now reading around 10% lower than the power meter.
I tried to do the spin down twice and tested after each, getting consistent result of ~-10% on both occasions.
Is there a specific way the spin down should be conducted? Do I need to stay clip in etc?
All else failing, is there a way to calibrate the trainer to reduce the difference between the power meter and the trainer?
