Hi, i upgraded my suio-t to the last firmware and after that I start to have problems with my Garmin devices. It is impossible to set the power, after few second the trainer became hard by itself, if I change manually the power it works again just for few seconds. I tested de smart trainer with edge 540, edge 1030 and Fenix 7 pro...same issue. It works only with apps like zwift, mywhoosh and mytraing. Before the upgrade the trainer worked smoothly. Anyone can help me?

I can confirm the issue with Elite Suito update to ne firmware "201" controlled by Garmin Edge 1030 Plus. The Suito hold the set power for 15 seconds and then increases it to a high level.

Any way to downgrade the firmware back to "197" or whatever it was before?

I am also experiencing issues with my Suito after upgrading to firmware 201, after a short interval the power just drops off.
As alecoppola reports, I'm finding as well that setting the power again manually has it working more or less accurately (seems to be a bit over power compared to usual, and I have a calibrated power meter linked) and again after a short while (maybe 15-20sec) drops to low resistance.

Please provide us with an update to fix these issues! Plenty of people use their Garmin head units to control their trainer, and now this functionality is broken.
(if an immediate fix is not available, at least provide download links to the previous firmware so we can do a manual downgrade in the app)

I too have this issue. I believe the cause is the „unplugged standalone mode” which can’t be turned off!! How garmin works is that it sends a command to set a power/resistance level to the trainer and it does it only once, as it sees no need to send it again(understandable, because it’s not a simulation mode - just set power). After a timeout timer runs out the trainer sets its resistance to the standalone mode level because it thinks no device is connected to it. This happens only with ANT+ protocol because it doesn’t need to maintain a connection as it is a broadcast protocol and not peer-to-peer. Just give as the option to disable the standalone not plugged mode!

I got the same issue after upgrade from 19.00 to 20.00. Does not work with fenix 5, edge 530, nor fr 965. After a few seconds the resistance raise to force over 270W although I set 120 or any low value.

Same problem here also with upgrade to firmware 201.

The Suito trainer with Garmin 830 no longer holds the resistance after 10 seconds.
After each step the resistance is correct again for 10 seconds and then it drops again.

When I do a workout from the iphone (bluetooth) with the Join app, then it works fine.
100% that this is due to the firmware update.
