All of us who have recently purchased a Direto would like to know whether our trainers are affected by this fault with the guide pulley being out of alignment. In fact, there should be a product recall for affected trainers.

Perhaps admin can provide a list of serial numbers of affected trainers?

Same question / issue for me.
Belt slipped off, belt has a cut. Trainer was sent back to supplier.
No clear response yet from Elite whether I will get a new unit.
No clear statement which trainers are involved.
I read on this forum answer from Elite Admin S:
"We've found that the problem was on the guide pulley that tight the belt, that in those cases were out of tolerance level. In those cases, the belt slipped off and break. Now we've solved the problem in our productions".

If there is a certain range with problems, please communicate. How can we (customers) be sure that we don't have a unit with the "out of tolerance level"-problem?

I bought this product for winter-training, I want a working unit as soon as possible.

Guys,

don't worry. If you have one of that pieces, the problem will appear almost immediately (belt broken or out of its place).
Now we have also provided our distributors with a replacement kit for the guide pulley and the belt, so there cannot be any error in the repair.

@Baltasar,

slippage and noise are not necessarily caused by this.
It may be that the belt is not well tighten (slippage), or the belt may need some grease (noises).
Contact the customer care sending a video in which they can hear the noise.

Regards

Admin.........you say the problem will appear almost immediately, but that's not the case; @Quinton purchased on Nov. 15th, and it broke on Feb. 23rd.

There must be some way of identifying the affected models and arranging a PRODUCT RECALL.

Mine went on the third ride- now waiting for the retailer to speak to the distributor after a ridiculously expensive return.
All seems unduly strung out for a device that was clearly faulty.

Do we know how many faulty devices are in the supply chain?

I am hoping they will just send a replacement, I won't be accepting a lengthy repair for a device that was three days old, but my main concern is that the replacement has the same fault?

I posted on this yesterday, but nothing has appeared. I'll try again!

My dirt was only three rides old when it failed in almost exactly the same way that others have described. I worry that this is indicative of a larger problem as this issue seems to have been going on for a number of months. The device has gone back to the retailer and now I sit waiting whilst it is tested and returned to the distributor. Its very annoying to buy something and then have to wait like this, however my biggest worry is that I'll just be sent another one with the same issue?

@johnnynohair,

I can assure that the problem has appeared on very few trainers. I mean, some pcs every thousands pcs.
So, the probability to find another Direto with the same issue, is almost zero.

About the long wait, I'm sorry. It depends on the shops and distributors.
But if you're having problems, please contact our customer care and open a complaint, we will try to understand if there was any problem with your specific case.

Regards
