@giulio,
try adding some grease to the belt.
Here's a video on how to do it:

Hello,
If I can afford it,
For the next version of the drivo, plan a hole for access and lubrication of the belt and which will be far from the electronic card.
Add a cap like this to close it
is it a flat or notched belt?

Thank you for your suggestion, I'll forward it to the designers.
But consider that this operation usually it is not necessary (it happens only in rare cases).
About the belt, I confirm you that it is a notched belt.

Re: Terrible sound from my drivo
In fact I have had an even more intense similar noise! I followed some recommendation for greasing the TOOTHED belt on the right side of the trainer. This smoothed the trainer like a baby! Actually you need to apply a tiny amount of grease in EVERY tooth, in the inside of them. The video was shoing a huge amount! Even with the tiny amount I placed with a small screwdriver, I noticed the first few times, some tiny amount of grease around. What is annoying, is that ELITE recommends NO MAINTENANCE inside for Drivo, which obviously is not the case! Unless they never tested their product before puting in the market, which I cannot believe. Anyway, mine needed greasing after about 4000km. Lastly, I noticed in the first months of operation, a black dust filling the area below the trainer. My conclusion is that this was material of the belt itself, not having at all grease out of the box!!! Therefore I think everybody should know that and ELITE make some recommendation.

I am not sure what usually means, but mine had signs of premature wear in the toothed belt side, which eased by applying grease. It seems necessary to me.

What kind of white grease to use?

Re: Terrible sound from my drivo
I corrected the noise by simply cleaning the straps with a hair dryer. I did not use grease.

We suggest to use vaseline grease.

Re: Terrible sound from my drivo
My 5-months old Drivo has the exact same noise as shown in the author's video.
My questions are -
1. Will it affect the service life of the machine if I choose to leave with it?
2. Is lack of grease the root cause? Or does it mean a damaged belt?
