Biopace chain rings causing fluctuations in power readings ?

I have recently bought a Directo and have started using with both MyEtraining and Zwift.
On both platforms I notice that approx. every 3rd power measurement is significantly higher (10-30 w) than the other measurements, which I believe to be closer to the actual workload.
My bike is equipped with Biopace chain rings and I wonder if the oval shape could be causing these fluctuations in power measurements ?

Do also a training at constant power and ride on it at constant speed and cadence. The issue should be visible.
