Hi, I have a new Elite Direto XR, and have trouble mounting my new Shiman SLX CS-M7000 11-42T 11-speed cassette.
When I use no spacers, I can slide the cassette about 2mm. When I add first two spacers and then the cassette, It is fixed. But then, the chain will jump off between the cassette and the spokes. So I started experimenting. And when I add one spacer between the smallest and the next, it is also fixed. But then i constantly have to over shift.
So has anyone mounted this cassette without problems?
Thanks.
Roelof

Re: Direto XR cassette problem SLX CS-M7000
Hi
Usually with a 11 speed cassette no spacers are needed.
But as every cassette is slightly different, it may be necessary to add one in some case.
Also, it may be necessary to tune the gear.
That's why in these cases we suggest to contact your trusted bike mechanic and ask him to give it a check
